THE WORLD IS BEYOND IMAGINATION

The Southern Key Economic Zone (SKEZ) is made up mainly eight cities and provinces, including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh and Tien Giang. This region, particularly around Ho Chi Minh City, has the most active economic zone across the country. It is known as an industrial hub, which attracts the highest FDI given the favorable investment climate.

Quang Ninh is a strategic investment location in northern Vietnam and part of the economic triangle in the North (Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh). It is home to the world-famous and UNESCO World Heritage Site Ha Long Bay.

For three consecutive years, Quang Ninh has consistently ranked at the top of the PCI. The province recorded US$6 billion in FDI since 2014 and is host to over 15,638 businesses. Foreign investors in the province include the US, Japan, Singapore, and Thailand.

Quang Ninh has four economic zones and 10 industrial parks.

The Central Key Economic Zone (CKEZ) compromises of five provinces – Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Binh Danh, with the major of activity occurring around Da Nang.The Central region is not as established as its neighbors are in the north and south; however, opportunities in this region are likely to materialize in the next few years. Key industries include light industry projects such as food processing.

Bac Ninh province in the Northern Key Economic zone has grown from an agricultural community to a major industrial center with the second-highest per capita income and one of the highest economic growth rates in the country. Surrounded by major economic centers such as Hanoi and Hai Phong, it has managed to establish itself as one of the major FDI destinations.

The Northern region comprises of 25 provinces, with the North Key Economic Zone (NKEZ) making up seven several cities and provinces, including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc, and Quang Ninh. The area has seen significant development in the past five to 10 years.This proximity of this area to China is particularly suitable for companies that want to move manufacturing operations to Vietnam but continue operating in China. This is also part of the China plus one strategy.

The Central Highlands, or the Western Highlands, is located in the West and South West of Vietnam. The region contains five provinces: Lâm Đồng, Daklak, Dak Nông, Gia lai and Kon Tum. These provinces are expected to show high potential for development in renewable energy, agricultural and tourism in the coming years.
